SEIZE THE DAY

 First hour was taken by Maya ma'am. We learned about different types of students within a classroom. A video showing how we need to be like coffee beans was an interesting message. Just like how coffee beans change the colour of the boiling water and make it tasty and fragrance filled, we too need to face our hard times with positivity. Then it was Ancy Ma'am's hour Notes on psychology filled the hour.  Giby mam came for the next hour she taught us more about Freud and psychoanalytical process. We discussed about Hitler in a different light. The reason behind the indifferent attitude of Hitler may be because of the background he came from, the mental disturbance of his mother may have inculcated within him that resulted in the Hitler, the ruler we all know. Joju sir class started right after it sir gave a PowerPoint presentation. Optionals followed. Last hour started a bit late so we got to play a circle game only that too for a few minutes. 

 After the morning prayer our first yoga class begun. Doing yoga exercise in the beginning of the day energised us. Then Maya miss class started around 10, 1 was enjoying the session to explain the term "competency" ma'am suddenly asked anyone who knows dancing to come forward. Priyanka came forward and danced.Then we all headed for practicing for our performance for the Republic day celebration which was going to be held today in association with the Union. After rigorous practice session we dressed up and headed to the hall. First performan JJce was by malayalam department which was a an Hindi song. Our performance was the second one with a silent prayer we stepped into the stage. Our hardwork payed off, the performance went great we all were happy, cheers by the rest made every pain we took vanish. within seconds. Other departments program followed. Each and every program was fabulous that it aroused patriotic feelings within all. Before the end of the day Joju sir ann...

First hour we had our optional classes.Since we had time we taught of practicing for our upcoming event.  Then we had Giby Ma'am 's class.The ishtam allada enik ishtam allada' song reference to say no to our "Id"(the three mental system the latter consisting ego and super ego) made the class alive. After lunch Maya miss took the class. Questions on why, how, when, what, related to b. Ed course was discussed.  Joju sirs' hour came after that in which we formed groups to write down points on advantages and disadvantages of technology. A leader and a reporter was selected for each group.  After our discussion we were told to be ready for a panel discussion for the coming days. Last hour in physical education class we learned about "kho kho" game. Then our class stayed backfor  practice.

With a patriotic feeling i headed to college.After some arrangements the function begun. Dr. Giby Geevarghese in charge in the absence of principal hoisted the flag. Pretty flowers dripping while the flag floated in air was a moment to be captured.After an interesting quiz session by social science students the function ended with some sweets (a way of spreading happiness and good will).

 The morning session started with physical education class. Sir shared the importance of doing physical activities in daily life. The mission to stay healthy is through starting one's day with an exercise which helps one to stay energetic and positive throughout the run."Yoga "session followed, today a different pranayama was taught called "bharamari pranayam". We all together did and made ourself more focused. Then we had our optional hour. Seminar presentations continued.

 The morning hour was taken by George Sir. Sir asked one person from each optional to share their experience about the classes so far (the physical education hour). Almost all shared positive opinions with one or two minor difficulties they encountered.With "pranayama" sir officially begun the yoga class that is ahead to come. Sir taught us the right posture and hand gesture for doing it, we all together did in tune with his guide. Next hour was of Ancy miss, she continued theory session. Concepts like sensorimotor stage, preoperational, concrete operational and formal operational were explained. Ma'am even shared a video to make the concept clear for us.

 Today's online class started with optionals. Tintu Ma'am  continued the topic discussion. TPR (total physical response) was the main area that we learned. It's definitions and concepts. Then Ancy Ma'am taught us about Piaget's theory of intellectual development. The terms like schema, assimilation and accommodation were clearly explained by miss. The next session was handled by Maya Ma'am. "Teacher and Education" the topic under which mam discussed about the concept Socialisation. आचार्यात् पादमादत्ते पादं शिष्यः स्वमेधया सब्रह्मचारिभ्यः पादं पादं कालक्रमेण च "One fourth from the teacher, one fourth from own intelligence, One fourth from classmates,and one fourth only with time"  The different views on education given by many Indian philosophers were also discussed.

The morning hour was started by Joju sir. Sir taught about the advantages and drawbacks of technology.We all were given chance to speak out our points related to it. Many of us shared our views.The class ended with a thoughtful insight. "self actualisation" we need to hunt for good books, invest our time for more knowledge accusation, leisure should also be there but not more than needed. Like coconut used for making steam cake, if it's not there its incomplete, if it's more it ruins the taste too hence an adequate amount is the key. Next session was taken by Giby Ma'am. She gave us work, first being to write about the figure we imagined to be if given a chance of rebirth. Second being write about three favourite teachers that we came across our life. With ma'am session today's class ended.

The very first session by Ancy teacher, she gave us an introduction on using Google meet and also about Google form. Then our psychology class continued. Next hour was by Joju sir. Since the orientation sessions are still going on, today too sir shared some inspiring thoughts with all of us. The online classes ended with our optionals. Tintu mam taught about approaches, methods and techniques in ELT.

 So its my very first day at MTTC. With great nervousness I headed to college. I loved the whole atmosphere. I could find many lovely friends.I felt very pleasant to be there. Priyanka helped me everything there. First hour  Giby Maam came. Today ma'am gave an introduction to the vast concept "Psychology". The little activity of trying to draw keeping one's book overhead sounded funny at first but the information that conveyed was enlighting. "A teacher need to see beyond what others think, she should be mindful enough".Another activity of traveling in mind imagining us to be in another form of life was given. At 11 our canteen reopening function took place. We got cake as a part of it. Maya miss class followed which was an engaging session. She asked the newcomers to introduce themselves.
