SEIZE THE DAY

The first hour was taken by Joju Sir. We began the session with a prayer especially for Biji who met with an accident. We then moved on to seminar sessions. SIET, CIET were some of the topics taken. Maya Maam's hour followed.Today the seminar was taken by social science optional. The main topic dealt was caste system. After each presenter mam added some more points and even threw some questions for us to think about.

Today we only had one session that was Physical Education. Sir made us do some warm-up exercises. Sir asked us to prepare ourselves that is , dress in comfortable clothes and to be in a spacious room where we can adjust the camera and do the yoga.After the warm-up, we did some breathing exercise in Padmasana.

  First hour was Optional. Reading and reflection continued. Sreelekshmi and Megha were the presenters today.The first book was "Goat days"  by Benyamin   presented by Sreelekshmi."The god of small thing's " by Arundathi Roy was the next this book is very much familiar to all. It was nice to hear the story once again. The next hour was taken by Maya Ma'am. The seminar session continued. Types of corruption was the topic. presented by Physical Science optional. The session was informative. The very first program by planning forum club of our college was held today at 2:30pm. A talk by Dr. Hema Francis (medical officer) connected to world day for safety and health at work.

The first hour was taken by Maya Ma'am. The seminar presentations continued. The topic dealt today was corruption and social evils. Giby Ma'am's hour followed. The session started with a prayer song by Sr. Lighty. Then the presentation commenced. Then maam gave an introduction to Multiple intelligence(M1). The viral video of medical students Janaki and Naveen crept in as maam was discussing.'Rasputin' the song on which the students danced was the cause. Maam took Rasputin (Grigori Rasputin)as an example to show M1.How he used his M1 for bad profits that's not the way how we should utilise it. Maam thus wanted to convey that we should use our multiple intelligence for good cause...

First hour was optional. I was eagerly waiting because I had to do my reading and reflection. I took the book Eleven Minuted by Paulo Coelho. Aleena and Anooja Chechi also presented their reflection. Aleena too took a novel by Paulo Coelho - The Zahir. Then we discussed about the program organized as a part of English Language Day. The next hour was taken by Maya Ma'am. The seminar presentations were presented by Malayalam optional.

We had Maya Maam's hour today after a long break.National integration was the topic. Mam discussed the barriers as well as the ways that promote National integration.The class was more like a discussion session though it was online, Mam called out names so as to make the session interactive.She called my name too and I answered. It was an awesome session.

Its World Earth Day today. Our Eco Club "Prakriti" organised our first program a mobile. photography contest as part of earth day 2021.A small video with a message was the first task. I made a model of earth depicting the before and after stages of our mother earth. Joju Sir took the first hour. The remaining seminar presentations took place. The next hour was taken by Ancy Maam.Dr S.Radhakrishnan and Swami Vivekananda were the thinkers dealt.The class ended with an informal chat with ma'am. We got to meet Ma'ams two adorable children.  At 6:30pm there was a Civil Service preparation introductory class organised by our college union. Adv. Jyothi Vijayakumar was the guest. It was indeed a useful webinar.

Today Giby mam took the first hour .Seminar session for psychology paper started today.We were the first to present.Priyanka sang a beautiful Hindi prayer song and started our seminar.Guilford's structure of intellect was the topic for the day. Caran Georgeena, Anjitha and Sreelekshmi presented the main ideas. During the presentation ma'am asked each of us to frame a question. After each presentation ma'am called us to present the question and one that she called had to answer it as well.Thus the question answer interaction made the concept memorisation even more easier.Optional hour followed. Todays Reading and Reflection was by Anjitha Chechi and Kavya.

Ancy mam took the first hour. Tagore was the next philosopher dealt.  George Thomas Sir took the next hour. After a long break we we're having our physical Education class  Sir shared the ways to keep mentally and physically healthy. How sports can help to bring total well being is to be realised especially in the current pandemic situation. Joju sir took the next class Seminars were conducted. Child abuse was the topic that stood out today. The harsh reality of how children are being victims really pains me a lot. Proper guidance and at the same time effective education should be given to lessen this crime. Awareness among children and parents equally beneficial to reduce the increasing cases.

The day started off with optional class .Varsha Chechi and Georgeena presented their Reading and reflection. Joju Sir came next seminar sessions continued. Important and effective seminar we're taken CMI, CMC were the topics dealt. In the end sir even did an evaluation by asking us questions thus involving others too in the online seminar session.

Joju sir took the first hour and the remaining seminar session was conducted.  Next hour Ancy mam came and taught about Mahatma Gandhi (the next thinker).Gandhiji's aim of education and his works were discussed. Chance for us to answer was given, many students came forward to express what they know about him.Maam shared the PPT so that we could get a better idea about him.

Today first hour was optional. Jis presented Reading and reflection of the book" The fault in our star's" .She did well. After that giby miss took the next hour.Class started with a prayer song by Georgia. Maam taught us about Frustration tolerence techniques followed by types of conflicts.

Today first hour was by Joju sir. The remaining seminar presentations were conducted. Our class too started off today. Everyone presented well. The next hour was taken by Ancy Ma'am.The topic thinkers-Plato was completed.

From 9 to 11:30 we had our Optional class. The remaining Reading and reflection was taken. Ganga Chechi, Caran and Devika Chechi presented their books it was an engaging session. Next session was by Principal sir. Sir started off with a quick recollection of previous class in which we discussed about chalkboard writing skill.Todays session was about Classroom Management. Every teacher has a unique classroom management. The important lesson we should keep in mind is that "Before you teach your student you should learn your student" hence creating a rapport with students is essential in classroom management.Then sir mentioned about How Teachers should be a Facilitator rather than a Provider.PCK scale was the next point given. PCK scale (pedagogical content knowledge) is an important way to measure the Teachers competency a teacher should use the scale in classroom management.Maintaining a proper time schedule is yet another subskill under classroom management. Todays online session started with Ancy mam class. Plato was the thinker we dealt with. Before getting into topic mam mentioned about the Google classroom created for sharing study materials and discussion.Maam shared the link and we all opened it and obtained the PowerPoint (PPT) notes on Plato.A 10 minute break was given for us to go through the PPT to jot down the important point's .Class resumed after that and ma'am in detail taught about Plato.Optional hour followed.The remaining reading and reflection was conducted. Anusha Chechi and sister shared their reflection on the books "lam Malala "and "The Alchemist".

  First hour was by Joju sir. The seminar session were conducted. The presentation started with the topic  e-learning . The next session was taken by Giby Ma'am. Maam gave points on personality characteristics.We were asked to think about whether we love our body and mind enough. The cyclical structure of life was one topic that gave many the opportunity to share their perspective.
